[311] I'm gonna ventilate my woman if I catch her with another man

Not sure if my family is more aggravating than usual today or if it's just me, but we are keeping to ourselves for the most part. At least the sun has come back out! I am catching up on Stardom and catching Chanceys while I wait for my chicken to get here and Bub crawls around on me, refusing to settle. A quiet Sunday.

Argylle was... something.

Wikipedia Sez: Teenage Head is the third studio album by the San Francisco rock band Flamin' Groovies, released in March 1971 by Kama Sutra Records. Teenage Head was recorded on a 16-track machine at Bell Sound Studios in New York City.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Proto-Punk, Rock & Roll

Release Date: March 1971

Prior Familiarity: None.

What I Did While Listening: An episode of The Walk. My feetsies got sore. 20 MILES TO INVERNESS, BABY.

Verdict: Kinda boring to start out with, started liking it more over the course of the first side, and then hit a stretch of three truly miserable tracks (a jaunty two-minute ode to a gun, some wannabe Elvis garbage, and the inexplicably sleazy Doctor Boogie) that completely soured me on the whole thing. Why is this album even here? Mick Jagger liked it, I guess? The CD bonus tracks make an argument that these guys could have been a decent bar cover band, at least.

Favourite Song: Whiskey Woman; it's just as derivative of better artists as the rest of the album, but with much better execution.
