[306] ain't nothin' like a gang bang to blow away the blues
I did not crash! I in fact did some yoga and had a really good run and washed my hair and watched some Star Trek with my mom for good measure! I remain very, very tired and it remains very, very cold outside and the dealership absolutely fucking reeks of gasoline for some reason, which is less than ideal and giving me a headache, but I've only got two days to go before I can sleep again, so we're toughing it out.

Wikipedia Sez: Next is the second album by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, released in 1973. The album was featured in Robert Dimery's book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. It has been reissued separately on CD numerous times since 1985, and is also widely available on a 2-in-1 album, the other album being the group's debut Framed.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Glam Rock
Release Date: November 16th, 1973
Prior Familiarity: None.
What I Did While Listening: Finally knocked out that interval run I had to bail on last week while (almost) finishing up S6 radio mode. Still not sold on the Amelia/Zoe thing, but HAS PHIL FINALLY GOTTEN A GIRLFRIEND???
Verdict: Very, very dumb and very, very fun, occasionally veering off into genius. I really enjoyed how it was laid out, with each side consisting of a couple of 4 minute tunes and ending with a 7-minute relative epic, it's all very restrained for how ridiculous and noodly the songs actually are. And then I was about thirty seconds into the title track when I went 'WAIT, WHAT' and realized it was another cover of that one insane Jacques Brel song from that one insane Scott Walker album??? These guys must have been fun as hell to see live.
Favourite Song: The Faith Healer; it drops the lyrical goofiness for just seven minutes of cool shit.
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
