[228] pavements of poets will write that I died in nine angel's arms

Back to work, where instead of doing anything constructive, of which I have SO many options, I've mostly just been doing ballsort puzzles? This may become a problem. How has it already been three hours?? I must tear myself away.

Ended my week off with a very long bath as a wicked thunderstorm started outside, followed by ice cream and an episode of Legion as a treat (I've finally started watching season 3 after four years because I didn't want it to be over, but I'm still taking my time with it). It was a good night! Probably the last relaxing night I am going to have for over a month! LFG!

Wikipedia Sez: Scott 2 is the second solo album by Scott Walker, released in 1968 by Philips Records in the UK and Smash Records in the US. Featuring the minor hit "Jackie", it arrived at the height of Walker's commercial success as a solo artist, topping the UK Albums Chart. This album, alongside Scott, features Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" recording technique. Like its predecessor, Scott 2 comprises an assortment of pop cover versions, selections from Walker favorite Jacques Brel, and a handful of original songs. His following three albums would feature mostly or entirely original material.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: AM Pop, Baroque Pop

Release Date: March 1968

Prior Familiarity: None, but I fucking loved Scott 4.

What I Did While Listening: Lay in bed and coloured, because the cat had woken me up stupid early and I really did not want to do anything yet!

Verdict: Fuck, I love this. What the fuck. It's completely unhinged. SCOTT WALKER, YOU ARE TWO FOR TWO, MY GUY. Also that's two albums in a row from people who did killer unused '90s Bond themes, what are the odds?

Favourite Song: I listened to all of Next with my eyebrows on top of my fucking head and I kinda haven't stopped thinking about it since, so I guess that one, even if I'm not entirely sure I actually like it. I guess it's a translation of a French pop song? This album is bonkers.
