[270] the pleasure is to play

Aaaaaaand it snowed. That was a pretty quick turnaround! At least it waited for October.

Since I have Monday off work, that gives me six work days to fit in the marathon that is season 3 of ZR for my relisten; ten episodes a day got me to That Simon Episode yesterday and gets me to one of the ones I deleted my run logs for in my attempt to finally unlock all of the radio mode clips today, which is very satisfying, so I guess I will do just that! And also I guess I'll do some work and stuff I guess, idk, we'll see!

Only stayed up slightly too late again last night, since One Way Passage left me with a hankering for some more pre-code Kay Francis/William Powell goodness but I got a late start, and tonight I've got Lower Decks and Loki and Our Flag Means Death to keep me occupied (I will definitely not be getting to all of it immediately), so that's fun!

Wikipedia Sez: Ace of Spades is the fourth studio album by British rock band Motörhead, released in October 1980 via Bronze Records. It is the band's most commercially successful album, peaking at number four on the UK Albums Chart and reaching gold status in the UK by March 1981. It was preceded by the release of the title track as a single in October, which peaked in the UK Singles Chart at No. 15 in early November.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: British Metal, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, New Wave of British Heavy Metal

Release Date: November 8th, 1980

Prior Familiarity: Low. Even now, all of these eight million British metal bands from the '80s merge together into one big Strongbad meme in my head.

What I Did While Listening: RAN.

Verdict: Not super memorable! Very good running music! Some pretty gross moments scattered throughout! Does the entire song Jailbait count as a moment? Title track remains a banger.

Favourite Song: Love Me Like a Reptile, it's SO silly that it somehow comes back around to being cool?

New genres added to my database over the last fifteen albums: Neo-Prog, Vocal Pop, Disco, and Indie Folk. That's it!

OH SHIT I FORGOT I STILL HAVE A MUFFIN TO EAT, GAMECHANGER, BYEEEEEE
