[262] I'm sorry that I said that we were just good friends
My momentum has stalled somewhat, mostly because of how thoroughly I fucked my sleep schedule between Wednesday and Thursday, but I think I'm back on track now! Plenty of chores to do, plenty of fun to be had, I just gotta take things one at a time.

don't like that
Wikipedia Sez: Is This It is the debut studio album by American rock band the Strokes. It was first released on July 30, 2001, in Australia, with RCA Records handling the release internationally and Rough Trade Records handling the United Kingdom release. It was recorded at Transporterraum in New York City with producer Gordon Raphael during March and April 2001. For their debut, the band strived to capture a simple sound that was not significantly enhanced in the studio. Building on their 2001 EP The Modern Age, the band members molded compositions largely through live takes during recording sessions, while lead singer and songwriter Julian Casablancas continued to detail the lives and relationships of urban youth.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Alternative/Indie Rock, Garage Rock Revival, New Wave/Post-Punk Revival, Indie Rock, Alternative Pop/Rock
Release Date: July 30th, 2001
Prior Familiarity: Low.
What I Did While Listening: Cancelled the Audible subscription I got JUST for the Zombies, Run! audiobook because I am HAVING A NORMAL ONE RIGHT NOW (hey, speaking of, anyone got any Audible reqs for stuff I should rip in the next month before it lapses? might as well!) and ordered mom her fucking Jolly Ranchers that she keeps pestering me about ordering and sending her an invoice for so she can claim them as a work expense because she keeps them on her desk. Annoying!
Verdict: This is like... really good music that you would hear in a commercial. That sounds damning with faint praise, but I liked it more the longer it went on and I actually think I'm gonna give it another spin now!
Favourite Song: Trying Your Luck
Oops, forgot to actually post this. Update: I got some of the chores done!
