[236] please come pat me on the head

And just like that, I'm back to work! I really did fuck all on my week off, I think catching up on Star Trek and rotating my mattress were the highlights, but it was my first real break in almost a full month, so that's probably what I needed! I'm still very behind on most of my stories, but I did manage to watch all of last month's Stardom shows, and man did that Queen's Quest/Oedo Tai cage match live up to the hype, godDAMN.

I am cautiously shifting my short-form online presence over to Mastodon as Twitter continues to burn, so go follow me over at leshiaaimee@mas.to? I think that's what handles look like? I'm really not a fan of the whole federated business of it, I still find it needlessly complicated and also reducing the feeling of everything/one being in the same place, especially since I use twitter less to keep up with my people and more to keep up with the wider world in general, but, well, twitter's burning, so we do what we must! Hopefully I'll come around to it.

Discord remains probably the #1 place to find me quickly for now, though, where I am merridiana now that they've switched over to more traditional usernames, which I thought was lame and contributing to the flattening out of the internet until I actually tried to commit to Mastodon and realized that sometimes you really do want something a little bit flatter?? ANYWAY.

Wikipedia Sez: You're Living All Over Me is the second studio album by American alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. It was released on December 14, 1987, through SST Records. A refinement of the formula introduced on the band's debut album Dinosaur, You're Living All Over Me features drawling vocals paired with loud guitars and driving rhythms. The album was well-reviewed upon release, and is now regarded as a high point of American rock in the 1980s. (yikes, that seems dire)

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Alternative/Indie Rock, American Underground, Indie Rock, Alternative Pop/Rock

Release Date: December 14th, 1987

Prior Familiarity: I've heard of the group, I think.

What I Did While Listening: So I definitely listened to this on my vacation, but did not remember anything about it, even a little. No memories, no impressions, nothing whatsoever. So I listened to it again while doing some Zombies, Run!

Verdict: At least the Zombies, Run! mission was interesting. This is fine, just so very, very bland and I have already forgotten everything about it all over again. What the hell am I missing here? Cool cover, I guess.

Favourite Song: Little Fury Things. Has the benefit of being the first track, I guess?
