[217] splitting ions in the ether

Bye, weekend, I miss you already! Continuing in my endeavours to leave the house with my family more often, because life is short:

Friday was sparsely-attended comedy night at a local pub. There were all-you-can-eat perogies. They were excellent.

Saturday was for staying up all night watching indie wrestling and Jury Duty because while I would have liked going to the movies instead, that drab-ass looking Little Mermaid is a hard pass for all of us.

Sunday, we went to a small Mexican touring circus that was in town! There were like eight performers total and the main juggler/tumbler was extremely my type. Ringside seats! Then we hurried home for Double or Nothing and I got only a little bit drunk (which was good, since while the show both opened and closed CRAZY strong, there was a pretty dull stretch in the middle there) and I am still very emotional about Kris Statlander's return, yes I am.

And then today I got completely knocked on my ass by my period, slept half the day away until I had a headache, and skipped voting because nobody even bothered to run here. I would have gone out and at least spoiled my ballot so the local conservative guy didn't just get 100% of the vote had I not been feeling like garbo, honest!

Wikipedia Sez: Another Green World is the third studio album by English musician Brian Eno (credited simply as "Eno"), released by Island Records in November 1975. Produced by Eno and Rhett Davies, it features contributions from a small core of musicians, including Robert Fripp (guitar), Phil Collins (drums), Percy Jones (fretless bass), and Rod Melvin (piano). John Cale (of The Velvet Underground) plays viola on two tracks.

Genre: Pop/Rock, Avant-Garde

Styles: Art Rock, Experimental Electronic, Experimental Rock, Ambient

Release Date: November 14th, 1975

Prior Familiarity: None.

What I Did While Listening: Sporcle quizzes!

Verdict: Surprisingly unpretentious? It's nothing I think I'd ever put on as more than background noise again, but it just sounds like a guy having fun and jamming out in all sorts of kooky ways!

Favourite Song: St. Elmo's Fire

One more day off. I hope I'm feeling better tomorrow, because I have... a lot of laundry to do.
