[175] we stayed outside 'til two, waiting for the light to come back

Spent last night getting smashed on fancy (not actually that fancy) cocktails, and it's looking like I'm going to do the same thing tonight! What can I say, I'm kind of a big deal in pretend Survivor circles now, I've got a profile to maintain~

Mom went out for supper with her boss/friend last night. I hope she had a good time! She was hurting a lot today, though, so we just ordered Chinese food and watched Bob's Burgers for a couple of hours.

I really like the way that Stardom World uploads their shows match-by-match, even if it's a little annoying waiting for the whole thing; makes it much easier to just 'ooh, okay, just one more' my way through a whole show instead of trying to set aside a couple of hours in my busy, busy day.

Wikipedia Sez: Melody A.M. is the debut studio album by Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, released on 13 September 2001 by Wall of Sound. The album reached number one in the Norwegian Albums chart. In the UK, it reached number nine in the country's Album chart, and topped both the Dance Albums and the Independent Albums charts. As of 2005, the album had sold 750,000 copies worldwide, with 454,271 sold in the United Kingdom alone.

Genre: Electronic

Styles: Downbeat, Trip-Hop, Club/Dance, Downtempo

Prior Familiarity: guardiansofthegalaxywho.gif

What I Did While Listening: Got increasingly plastered on my version of a blue lagoon.

Verdict: I dig it! I dig it a lot! I particularly love how every track is so different in a way that I rarely seem to see in electronic music? Nothing ever blended together here, even though I spent most of it drunkenly vibing across my room; sometimes it's bleepy bloopy synthy fun, sometimes it's extra crunchy beatz, sometimes there's a fucking saxophone gliding all around me for some reason, basically it just constantly kept me on my toes! Kinda flew by, really! I don't really know why the heck it's on this list, but I'm glad it is! I guess sometimes just being a random good-ass album is reason enough!

Favourite Song: Tough call! Everything's so different, it's hard to weigh them against each other, you know? I'll go with Röyksopp's Night Out. It's weirdly intense, and kinda made me feel like I was drowning at times!

Okay time to take out the recycling! I think I'm tipsy enough to not need to put on pants, it's still extremely warm outside; -3 degrees at 11pm in January! What a world!
