[174] I don't want to cause a fuss, but fast cars are so dangerous
OOF. Between the surgery and the birthday and idek what else, last week was just a brutal, interminable slog like I can't remember having in a good while now! I missed replying to a bunch of people in the muddle, but I appreciated every comment very much, and I made it, I'm on the other side, I slept DAMN good last night, and the weather is still absolutely beautiful single digit nonsense, so I'm putting it behind me! Bring it on, 34! I think I'm gonna buy some cocktail mixins and spend as little time sober as possible for the next seven days.
Mom's doing okay, still very stiff and sore and worrying about how lasting the nerve damage to her arm is going to be, but she's back to work and the bandages came off yesterday, so it's not so bad.
Today is for resetting and cleaning out the worst of the chaos pileup around the house. And making fancy drinks for no good reason. And being upset about Jay Briscoe's death, because damn. Damn. That crazy dog collar match was just last month, you know?

Wikipedia Sez: Another Music in a Different Kitchen is the first studio album by the English punk rock band Buzzcocks. It was released in March 1978 by the United Artists record label. This was the third line-up of Buzzcocks, with the guitarist Pete Shelley singing following the departure of the original vocalist Howard Devoto and then the firing of the bass guitarist Garth Smith (who had appeared on the "Orgasm Addict"/"Whatever Happened To...?" single). The album includes the single "I Don't Mind", which reached number 55 in the UK Singles Chart in May 1978.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: British Punk, Punk, Punk/New Wave
Prior Familiarity: None! I have neverminded the Buzzcocks for a very long time!
What I Did While Listening: Journally stuff, planned out the week ahead a bit. Nothing too strenuous, I kinda mostly just vibed.
Verdict: It fucks!
Favourite Song: I Don't Mind, but that extended drum riff in Moving Away from the Pulsebeat made a REALLY strong case for itself at the eleventh hour.
