Double or Nothing 2022 (6 + 7 of 13)
I desperately do not want to be here, but I'm in the home stretch! Very tired of the dreary, cold weather, because it's June and so they refuse to turn on any heat at work and if I didn't have my space heater working overtime, I would want to die, but hey, just one more day after this, and then I can coze up for days on end!
19. Which major body of water do you live by?
That would be the Athabasca! River, not the lake, that thing's way up north. Also the Clearwater, the two mush together downtown (and also the Hangingstone and Horse rivers, but they're just li'l guys). Pretty weird how surprised people were that we finally had a really bad flood, honestly!
20. Who is the last person that you took a picture with?
That would be my large adult brother, at his high school graduation. I think there was one with our mom in there that his date took, too.
Lumping these next two DoN matches into one entry because ugh, what an underwhelming pair of conclusions to what was otherwise a pretty cool tournament.
Bleeeeeeh. The most obvious outcome from the instant the bracket was announced has... come out. It's fine! I'm a little tired of Cole as a top guy, his wrestling is just too underwhelming for me when he's not sowing delicious interpersonal chaos, but he's been losing at the top of the card for long enough now that he needed a big win, so I ain't mad about the outcome. It's just real boring! The match was fine! Presumably people who watched these guys in WWE care more?
I wonder if there's something to the fact that Adam needed Bobby's help to cheat and win here, while Kyle won clean without a lick of assistance from either of them later in the night.
Should've been Kyle, idgaf.
This outcome, though? Absolutely vomitrocious. What the fuck kind of dirt does Britt have on Tony, bitch has not lost a pay-per-view match in actual YEARS now. Her boyfriend may have needed the win over on the men's side, but she most certainly did not, and is basically just holding the entire rest of the division back at this point. We could have had SO many cool, original matches here, establishing new stars (Toni vs. Ruby just being the most obvious), but NOPE, heaven fucking forbid Britt doesn't have a shiny belt to trot around with for more than two goddamn months, better throw this whole inaugural tournament in the trash for a Grand Slam rematch that ends the exact same way as the first time these two fought. Ugh.
At least Rancid was there, that ruled extremely hard.
Should've been Kris, idgaf.
Please be less of a giant waste of time and breath and cute pink gear next year, Owens. Martha Hart's fascinator headband thing looked great, though, and I really like that they just let her ramble on for as long as she wanted afterward.
Less than a week to Forbidden Door!
