[0096] he will bring happiness in a pipe

A lovely day. Was woken up early by the dog trying to get into an empty Pringles container because she's not smart, but this allowed me to spend the morning lounging around, watching TV, taking a bath, listening to music, and reading before retiring for a nice, long afternoon nap. Then I got dressed, hastily did my nails, and went out for Dairy Queen and Cronenberg. Then home for snacks and Dynamite and now I've a beautiful night to chill in, with the moon high and bright for at least the next couple of hours. My tanks are fully refueled; I am restored so I can start being productive tomorrow, ahead of my aunts coming over to visit for the weekend!

8. Would you rather be able to talk to animals or be fluent in every language?

Gotta go with the languages on this one, I just don't expect most animals to have enough interesting things to say to make it worth it.

Wikipedia Sez: Sunshine Superman is the third album from British singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released in the United States on August 26, 1966, but was not released in the UK because of a contractual dispute. In June 1967, a compilation of tracks from this album and the follow-up Mellow Yellow was released as Sunshine Superman in the UK. Sunshine Superman was named after Donovan's hit single released in the US in July 1966. The album was Donovan's most successful, peaking at number eleven in the US and remaining on the Billboard Top LPs chart for six months. The tracks from Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow were not mixed into stereo, with the exception of "Season of the Witch", until the 2011 2-CD deluxe edition issued by UK EMI.

Prior Familiarity: Low! Who even is this other than the Season of the Witch guy, lol.

What I Did While Listening: Puttered around post-nap, started doing my nails, got high because he told me to. Just generally vibed.

Verdict: It's a'ight. I found the first half of it pretty boring, honestly, nice hangout music and that's about it, but the second half proved more interesting. Might be worth a re-listen.

Favourite Song: Bert's Blues; when it suddenly gets all jazzy out of nowhere toward the end, that's some good shit.
