[0080] let's start what we have come into the room to do
IT FUCKING SNOWED AGAIN AND I'M MAD ABOUT IT. I shouldn't be, I know better, but I am. WHATEVER, back to work in the morning, and while that sucks, too, I had a pretty good day today, so I'm feeling pretty zen about it. I had a nice long bath, hot enough that I almost passed out afterward, I watched Better Call Saul and am DECIDEDLY not ready for the end to be upon me, I ordered myself a burrito, I napped for a couple of lovely, sun-filled hours, I got the house much closer to a state that I'm happy with (with my mom's help, finally), and now I am going to watch Dark and do my nails and kill time until Moon Knight drops to end the week right. So there!
19. What is the most expensive thing you’ve ever purchased outright?
...house? Yes, house. Obviously, I got a mortgage that I will be paying off forever, but even just the down payment that I had to scrimp and borrow to come up with on short notice was more than I've ever dropped on any one thing before or since.

Wikipedia Sez: Live! is an album recorded in 1971 by Fela Kuti's band Africa '70, with the addition of former Cream drummer Ginger Baker on two songs. It was released in 1971 by EMI in Africa and Europe and by Capitol/EMI in the United States and Canada. It was reissued on CD by Celluloid in 1987 and was reissued on CD in remastered form by Barclay with a bonus track from 1978.
Prior Familiarity: None.
What I Did While Listening: Last-minute late-night tidying up before I go back to work and lose all motivation to do anything for another week+.
Verdict: S'good! I still don't think I've fully wrapped my head around Kuti's massive cultural significance, but this was tight.
Favourite Song: Egbe Mi O, but that sixteen-minute drum solo at the end was SOMETHING.
