Killing time before I head out to pick up my grandmother's laundry and go see a trash wizard movie. I have put on pants and everything!

What are these offline friends you speak of? The last of those moved away years ago.

Wikipedia Sez: In the Court of the Crimson King (subtitled An Observation by King Crimson) is the debut studio album by English rock band King Crimson, released on 10 October 1969 by Island Records. The album is one of the earliest and most influential of the progressive rock genre, where the band combined the musical influences that rock music was founded upon with elements of jazz, classical, and symphonic music.

Prior Familiarity: None.

What I Did While Listening: Viiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiibed. I had just worked out for a while and was VERY gross and sweaty and just did not want to move for a little bit!

Verdict: Wow, I enjoyed this WAY more than I expected to based solely on the genre and that hideous cover. I guess the difference between prog rock that makes me nod my head and vibe along and prog rock that makes me do jerking off motions and roll my eyes for an hour straight is just a killer bass line? This feels so huge and epic and sweeping in parts while still making time for goofy pretentious bullshit but then it's just, like, straight up jazz in others? Yeah, I dug this a lot. A real surprise!
