[0073] dark ages here in rap

A little late-night journal prompt catch up while I wait for some computer backups to finish.

31. When was the last time you were in a waiting room?

Hmm. Last time I was at the dentist, maybe? I really need to ask someone at work what the situation with our new insurance provider is and how I get it billed to so I can... go back at some point.

1. What’s the longest research paper you’ve ever written?

...I did a pretty thorough report on Siberian tigers in grade 4?

2. If money was no object, where would you move to?

Anywhere.

Wikipedia Sez: The Renaissance is the second studio album by American hip hop artist Q-Tip, released November 4, 2008, on Universal Motown Records. The follow-up to his solo debut album, Amplified (1999), it was recorded after Q-Tip's Kamaal the Abstract (2009) was initially shelved in 2002 by his former label Arista Records and his proposed effort Open was shelved by Universal Motown, both deemed commercially inadequate by the labels. The Renaissance was produced primarily by Q-Tip and features guest contributions by D'Angelo, Norah Jones, Amanda Diva, and Raphael Saadiq.

Prior Familiarity: None whatsoever.

What I Did While Listening: Changed my bedsheets after getting crumbs and butter all over while watching wrestling and eating a giant loaf of unsliced bread. :(

Verdict: I like it! Not really my thing, but the beats are nice, the lyrics are mostly solid (ManWomanBoogie was kinda gross), and the whole thing just generally went down real smooth and easy.
