[0047] kill yourself at work for what seems nothing at all
Yesterday feels like a thousand years ago. Two days of freedom to go. The experiment has concluded early due to my period arriving and my body saying 'okay you are going to sleep for twelve hours RIGHT NOW' in response and my saying 'oh ok I guess' to the command.
22. Which countries have you been to? Which was your favorite?
Just this one and the one under it. This one's pretty cool I guess.
Wikipedia Sez: Giant Steps is the third album by The Boo Radleys, released in 1993. The title is inspired by John Coltrane's album of the same name, and the record features an assortment of influences — their previous shoegazing sound backed by pop, reggae, noise pop and orchestral sounds.
Prior Familiarity: None! Don't know the band, don't know the album, don't know any of the songs thereon!
What I Did While Listening: Relaxed after taking a well-earned shower, and then folded some laundry.
Verdict: My first impression upon starting it was that it sounded way too pretentious to also sound so generic (it's got backmasking, ffs), but somewhere around Wish I Was Skinny, I kinda settled into the lo-fi janglyness of what it was doing. Not bad. Can't say it left a lasting impression, though.
Favourite Song: Best Lose the Fear, but White Noise Revisited comes in hot at the end.
