[02] Where demons fear to dwell!
I was going to write a proper State of the Pups, since I haven't done so since the beginning of freaking February, but seeing as I did absolutely nothing this month save debut Reggie, I don't have a whole lot of particulars to deal in. Instead, I think this will just be an extended State of Me type thing, assessing what I'm doing RP-wise in more general, rambling terms as opposed to breaking things down by character. Onwards!
Because certain factors kept me from playing at all until the month was more than half over, I pretty much ended up calling April a total wash (aside from getting Reggie, obviously, which I remain super jazzed about). This means there were a lot (and I mean a lot) of EPs I wanted to tag that passed my by. There are so many character relationships that I'm neglecting in not tagging around properly and it's killing me, and I'm really looking to remedy that heading into May. Basically, if any of yours have any sort of relationship with any of mine, I want to thread them, I'm just terrible at being proactive about it.
My standard disclaimer still applies: if you want me to tag/if I say I'll tag something, and then I don't? Feel completely free to bug me to get on it. I do not see it as an imposition, I welcome it. I want threads to happen, I just suck a lot of the time. Don't be shy. I'm tired of feeling like no one cares about mine and knowing it's entirely my fault for not putting them out there.
Lately, I've noticed that my roster falls into three very clear categories, in terms of strength of voice. Tracy and Reggie are the shiny new pups, I pretty much just want to be playing them constantly. Wanda and Sean are the steady old guard, always constant, always loud, always ready to go when I need them. And unfortunately, this dichotomy seems to leave Felix and Maddie as the oft-forgotten middle children of the group. They're still totally present, I still love them, they just tend to get drowned out by the others and I've developed a nasty habit of letting their tags fall to the bottom of my inbox and sit for far too long. Something to work on, since they're not going anywhere at present.
Which brings me, in a roundabout sort of way that likely makes sense only to me, to what lies ahead beyond playing my ass off and rolling around in delicious tags 24/7. Currently, I have six characters. It's a good number, I've had six before, I know I can handle six. Beyond that is uncharted territory. There are two characters I'm pretty intent on apping at The City Never Sleeps, which, if all goes well, would put me at eight total, at which point I will reevaluate my situation. If eight is working for me, I have two more characters that have been making themselves heard lately; one for TR, one for Darrow. But that's a big 'if', since I honestly don't know if I can handle eight, let alone ten. We'll see what happens, basically. Responsible time management for the win?
