[0006] darling, don't you go and cut your hair
Had a nice, chill day off, in which I actually feel like I got a lot done? Nothing of substance, of course, but like, I watched a couple of movies and some TV and some wrestling, and I took a bath and washed my hair, and I did some yoga and went for a run, and I ate three meals of reasonable size, and I cleaned out a bit of the clutter that built up over my last seven days of work coma, just... it felt good! Accomplishing tasks and feeling good about it!
Didn't get the mail, though. And I still need to do my nails. Maybe once I finish updating this!
Wikipedia Sez: Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is the second studio album by American indie rock band Pavement, released on February 14, 1994 by Matador Records. The album saw the band move on towards a more accessible rock sound than that of their more lo-fi debut Slanted and Enchanted and achieve moderate success with the single "Cut Your Hair". The album also saw original drummer Gary Young replaced by Steve West. It was a UK Top 20 hit upon release, although it was not so successful in the US charts.
Prior Familiarity: Pretty much none! I vaguely know who Pavement is, but gun to my head I could not name a song.
What I Did While Listening: Bought comics and downloaded Dynamite (which I still have not watched; I'm worried it's gonna make me cry this week).
Verdict: Not bad! Kinda... samey, throughout? There was nothing there that really blew my socks off, it was generally just some nice ear noises throughout. 'Accessible' is right.
Favourite Song: 5-4=Unity, maybe Fillmore Jive.
