BTE 248

So shit is going down today, it has been (and continues to be) a Lot, so I'mma hold off before talking about it much. Maybe I will update once we know more later tonight. For now, it's just stupid stuff! I woke up a mere 10 minutes after BTE dropped this morning, it was like my body KNEW that everything I wanted was so close at hand.

IT WAS AGATHA MATT HARDY ALL ALONG!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY FINALLY WRAPPED UP THE FUCKING 'WHO STOLE HANGMAN'S PHONE' MYSTERY TEXT DANGLING PLOT THREAD FROM LIKE HALF A YEAR AGO THAT HAS NEVER STOPPED BOTHERING ME. I'm so happy. The most interesting part of how this played out is that Hardy told Matt Jackson deliberately, presumably to finally reconcile Hangman and the Bucks? Under the assumption that this would drive him away from Dark Order, I guess? Making it... worse when Hardy decimates them? Or easier for him to do so? Not 100% sure of his motivations here, they got pretty obviously overshadowed by the tease of the MATT/ADAM REUNION I HAVE BEEN YEARNING FOR FOR SO LONG NOW AAAAAAAH MY HEART. Matt getting the sad Vietnamese cowboy music while remembering how their friendship fell apart all those months ago was made just to ruin me personally even before you throw in the parallel of him not being able to go in when he sees how good Adam's doing with Dark Order now, just like all the times Adam couldn't bring himself to go back to the Elite no matter how much he wanted to. It was also very hilarious treating Hangman dancing and laughing while his new friends dry hump Colt Cabana as a Very Serious Drama Moment, that music plays DIVIDENDS.

Am slightly unclear on the timeline; it seems like Matt went straight there after the altercations with Don and Hardy, which would put it BEFORE Kenny threw the too sweet in his face later on in the show, but that moment was included in his sad flashback memories. Either way, v. poignant stuff and I have so many feelings about the Elite. If the Young Bucks end up at ringside for Hangman when he eventually beats Kenny for the belt, I will lose my goddamn shit.

Should this go under the wrestling tag? No actual wrestling occurred. Whatever, my blog, my rules.
