So it's almost five in the morning, I can't sleep for the life of me, have my first SotP of the year! Appropriately, it is super short and says almost nothing of consequence, but I'm glad I did it, just so y'all can have a vague, weird idea of where I'm at with my brood.

I'm so, so tired.

State of the Pups: January 2014

TABULA RASA

Wanda: On thin ice. I need to come up with a concrete direction to take her in or I'm going to have to cut her loose.

Felix: Not doing much, but not going anywhere.

Madelyne: Ready to have her plot wrapped up, it's just a matter of getting off my ass and doing it.

Reggie: Needs to get played, because he's also not going anywhere. Needs to find some way to act out. Maybe I'll give him a tattoo. Someone on the island is doing those, right?

Future: I keep waffling on whether to use the freebie February app or not. It'd be so irresponsible when I'm not even playing the characters I have, but it would at least be something to maybe jumpstart my interest. Somebody sway me one way or the other.



THE CITY NEVER SLEEPS

Sean: I need to get faster with his threads more than anyone else's, because there's so much that he should be up to, but I'm just sooooooo sloooooooow that it's not really happening. Gonna try to give him the lion's share of my focus when I tackle my inbox more often.

Reggie: Precious derp. I have high hopes for him, drama-wise, and while he's not got much going on yet, I feel like the strings of fate are slowly twisting around and if I tug on them just right, they may coalesce into some kind of beautiful mess in fairly short order. I'm feeling around in the dark to do it, so I can't say how long it'll take, but I think I'm close.

DeMarr: He is happy, I am happy, everything is happy happy.

Tracy: Still brand new, I just. Fucking love writing her so much? You don't even know, I don't even understand why, just hearts, blah.

I WANT THREADS FOR ALL OF THEM, GIVE ME YOUR EVERYONES PLEASE.

Future: IF I can successfully make reqs this month and the next, there is one last definite coming, a TR transfer. And then that was gonna be it, but then I got bit by a character that I've thought about for aaaaaaages and now I can't get him out of my head, oh god it's awful and ridiculous and this was exactly how it went down with DeMarr so it's probably going to happen, ugh.

Okay, gonna put this out there now, while it's still all theoretical and still several months off at the absolute earliest: Would everyone hate me if I apped a serial rapist/murderer with a terminal case of Chris Messina face? He's so beloved right now for good reason, would anyone be able to get past that because of a dumb PB choice I made years ago and just can't change in my head?

Okay, ask me things, tell me things, sleep? Sleep.

For me its either a) bring in someone without canon mates/partner (never easy to get threading there) or b) bring Wanderer back, but I doubt anything's really changed and I'd be right back where I was when I let her go.

I'm not sure whether to take the Feb freebie either, since I can't think of anyone I'm desperate to play at the moment. But I have found sometimes that bringing flesh blood can kickstart interest in the others.

Tunny is doing tattoos! And I would be happy to do a thread featuring them :D Also, Rosie is supposed to be shadowing Wanda at the clinic, so if anything to do with that would be helpful, I'm also at your disposal.

I have found, sometimes, that having a new pup makes me excited to play, which was the thinking behind the Feb thing. If there's someone you're into the idea of, I say go for it?

Do whatever will make you feel happiest. If bringing someone new in will get you jazzed for things, bring someone new. If it'll just make you stressed, don't. But, I mean, worst case scenario, you end up having to drop your freebie app. I don't think it's a huge risk to try on something new.

And, as always, if you want to do something with Wanda or the others, I am down for plotting things.

I'm going to echo everyone else who said that a new pup is sometimes just the thing to revive interest. I'm pretty sure who my Feb freebie is going to be, and if a lot of people do it, there will be that many more pups to potentially mix it up with, which is exciting. :D

I want Zuko to meet one of yours but I'm not sure who. Reggie? Also DeMarr and Saffron should thread again!
