[so many numbers] Taking control of your own destiny
Day off! Which is good, because this post is going to take some wrangling. You've voted to say FUCK IT to linear adventuring. We've killed the Warlock, killed his dragon, why the hell shouldn't we keep on the task of looting his big shitty mountain? I'm gonna go clean the house and watch The World's End, let's find that last key!
Let's also say that you found a ball of yarn in the Minotaur's lair, so if you ever do find the damn thing, it'll be nice and easy to retrace your steps. >_>
You leave the small, dimly lit treasure room, heading east through the double-locked door. You continue past the Warlock's chamber (and corpse), through the large wooden door, and down the long, narrow corridor to the Dragon's cavern. To the south lies a small rocky arch which you have to stoop to get through, which gives way to a narrow passageway that bends to the east as it widens before leading south for quite some time. Finally, you reach a crossroads. You are back in the Maze of Zagor.
You are at a crossroads. You go west.
You walk westwards for some time, then north round a peculiar bend which hairpins straight round to the south. Eventually you wind up at a three-way junction.
You are at a three-way junction. You go south.
You are in a north-south corridor which ends in a dead end. You look around the rock face for signs of anything interesting, when suddenly a rock breaks loose above you and lands on your head. Although the blow was not particularly hard, you find you are feeling dizzy. You fight to remain conscious, but are unable to do so. You slump to the ground. When you open your eyes, you are at a junction.
You are standing at a T-junction where a passage to the east comes off a north-south corridor. You go south.
You are at the south end of a north-south corridor. Looking northwards, you can see a passage coming off from the east wall. You go south, following a bend to the west.
You are in an east-west corridor. If you go east, you will turn a corner northwards. You go west.
You walk along the corridor, only to find that the way westwards, previously blocked by a heavy portcullis, has recently been reopened.
You follow a passageway that turns sharply to the west and find yourself at the top of staircase going down.
You descend the stairs, walk down a short passage, and reach a large open chamber. This chamber stinks of putrefying flesh. The smell is so bad that you are tempted to turn back. Three bodies lie in the chamber.
Fortunately, you've already searched the bodies (and re-deaded one of them), so we might as well just tiptoe through the room.
You tiptoe through the room and up a narrow staircase cut into the rock. There are about twenty steps leading up, and you end up at the top of the stairs, facing a narrow opening in the south wall. 'That was easy,' you think.
You climb through the opening and find yourself in a passageway heading both west and east.
