[478] a hall of records, or numbers, or spaces still undone
Staring down the barrel of another eighty hours* in this big frigid building, but feeling okay about it. Sleepy, but okay. This too shall pass, and it'll hopefully be sunny on the other side.
In watching more movies this month, I have fallen behind on my TV shows, and Yellowjackets suddenly sucking hasn't helped matters any. Also it's Best of the Super Jr. season! There simply isn't enough time for it all!
It's beginning to seem like I will be spending my entire day thinking about pasta. That's not going to make the next nine hours any easier, but should make the eventual reward that much more triumphant.
*oh shit I need to ask if we're closed on Monday, actually

Wikipedia Sez: Myths of the Near Future is the debut album by English rock band Klaxons. It was released on 29 January 2007 through Polydor Records. Following their debut single, the band coined the term "new rave" to refer to their sound; not long after their second single, they signed to Polydor Records. They recorded their debut album with James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco at The Premises and Parkgate Studios. Myths of the Near Future, which takes its title from a poem, is a science-fiction concept album about the future; some of the song's titles and lyrics are literary references to the works of J. G. Ballard, William S. Burroughs and Thomas Pynchon. To critics, its sound recalled the indie dance-punk revival led by bands such as Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Alternative/Indie Rock, Indie Rock
Release Date: January 29th, 2007
Prior Familiarity: Nope!
What I Did While Listening: Got a few last affairs in order before curling up in bed, since instead of doing anything productive after showering, I instead watched a 260-minute-long movie. Oops!
Verdict: Aggressively pretentious nonsense word salad lyrics wrapped up in this particular, uniquely '00s sound that I really wish was more represented in this project in comparison to the endless stream of '80s rock and '60s folk albums. I dug it!
Favourite Song: As Above, So Below
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
May Movie Count: 14 (Trenque Lauquen (this one counts as two idgaf), Amadeus, Clown in a Cornfield, Torso, The Best Way to Walk, Donnie Darko, Mind Game, A Fish Called Wanda, All the Colors of the Dark, Thunderbolts*, Until Dawn, What Have They Done to Your Daughters?, The Fog)
