[477] sleeping cheaply on the midnight show

And just like that, it's Tuesday again. Back to work in the morning. I don't want to do that, but it was a fine week off, good and restful, so I should be able to tackle it head-on.

The weather is nice and the days are getting loooooong. Just a couple more weeks before I bust the deck lounger out and declare basking season OPEN.

For some reason I cannot determine, I have started playing Merge Mansion in 2025. Weird! Will I finally find out what that granny is up to???

Even considering the full-body douche-chills that the phrase 'American Pope' still gives, I do think I'm probably going to like this one.

Takeshita calling El Phantasmo by his shoot name again after Resurgence is honestly so, so important to me. But not as important as Drilla's face. And body. And voice. Ugh!!!!

I'm thinking a bath and a stir fry tonight to end the week right. We'll see what the evening brings!

What I Did While Listening: Put off exercising for a little while longer; it was Monday and I was feeling laaaaazy. Coloured a bit. Drew myself up a little chart for tracking Best of Super Jr. 32 results. Cleaned the toilet. Thought about cleaning the shower, but it's been draining super slow lately so that's a whole thing I'll need to tackle and bleeeeh. Checked to see if our Little Caesars has the pretzel crusts back. Thought about putting away laundry before electing to leave it for a little bit longer. Reset my American Express account so I can finally download my statements again. Put in an Amazon order. Ordered Little Caesars. Received Little Caesars. IT'S A REALLY LONG FUCKING ALBUM, OKAY, I HAD A LOT OF TIME TO KILL WITH IT.

Verdict: Deeply pretentious wankery that never gets out of its own way; I was never able to just kick back and vibe with the music over the constant onslaught of 'do you hear me namedropping Lenny Bruce and Marshall McLuhan??? THIS IS ABOUT THINGS, JUST MAKING SURE YOU GET IT' like uuuuuugh. I love a good rock opera, and this is oftentimes extremely cool and sick, but the many eyeroll moments along the way really took me out of it. Also apparently there's a new remaster coming out next month, which is annoying. What subpar 2007 mix did I get stuck with???
