[455] it's a drag being a cop, I think I'd rather be the mayor
Made it to the weekend! Ate too much again! Thinking about intermittent fasting! Got a decent night's sleep for a change! Many excellent snoozes! Looking forward to Anora after work! Looking forward to Revolution tomorrow even more! And not just because I'm leaving work early for it, that card is so stacked!
Halfway through the work week, and the world is a mess, but things right here are okay for the time being. Gonna go hide in a boardroom for my lunch break and catch Fuecocos for a bit.

Wikipedia Sez: Freak Out! is the debut studio album by the American rock band the Mothers of Invention, released on June 27, 1966, by Verve Records. Often cited as one of rock music's first concept albums, it is a satirical expression of guitarist/bandleader Frank Zappa's perception of American pop culture and the nascent freak scene of Los Angeles. It was the second rock music double album ever released, following Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde just one week earlier, as well as the first double debut album by a rock artist. In the UK, the album was originally released as an edited single disc.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Experimental Rock, Rock & Roll, Proto-Punk
Release Date: June 27th, 1966
Prior Familiarity: None! I've mostly liked the little Zappa that I've heard, though (we don't talk about Captain Beefheart).
What I Did While Listening: Sipped a diet coke after an emergency 'make me feel like a person again' shower. It definitely helped.
Verdict: I would have really loved this shit when I was fourteen, I think. As is... it's fun. Very fun, I will even venture to say, though the long sound experiments of the last two sides eventually wear out their welcome pretty hard, even unfinished.
Favourite Song: Who Are the Brain Police? It's a good question.
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
