[436] stand up in a clear blue morning until you see what can be
WEEK OFF. I slept for twelve goddamn hours and I feel like I could punch out the moon. Watched a bit of TV, checked the mail in the beautiful 5-degree weather (EVERYTHING IS MELTING AND ICE), installed a new shower head because my last one died on me. It's only leaking a little, that's pretty good, right??
Trying to convince my brother to go to the movies with me on Sunday for the free popcorn, but the best thing playing is Den of Thieves 2, so it might be a losing battle. Hrm.

Wikipedia Sez: Arc of a Diver is the second solo studio album by singer/multi-instrumentalist Steve Winwood. Released in 1980, Winwood played all of the instruments on the album. Featuring his first solo hit, "While You See a Chance" (which peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States), this was Winwood's breakthrough album as a solo artist. It peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart, establishing him as a commercially viable act. The cover artwork for the album is by Tony Wright. He took inspiration from Jazz by Henri Matisse, notably VIII: Icarus.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Adult Contemporary, Album Rock, Blue-Eyed Soul, Contemporary Pop/Rock
Release Date: December 29th, 1980
Prior Familiarity: None. He's the Higher Love guy, right?
What I Did While Listening: Started gathering stuff to make perogies, spotted a very freezer-burned box of potato gratins, popped those in the oven, and just vibed for a while instead.
Verdict: It's extremely generic blue-eyed soul absolutely drenched in the most ridiculous synths I've ever heard, and I honestly kinda loved it.
Favourite Song: While You See a Chance, a total bop.
