[414] my eyes are green, 'cause I eat a lot of vegetables
Our first -30 degree day, right on time. It wasn't windy this morning, though, so it wasn't too bad, all things considered. I am at work and settled and the managers want to start training me on booking today, which could be interesting.
Been revamping my morning schedule a bit, trying to be more rigid and disciplined in my brief routine while also giving up on ever even trying to wake up early again (I already don't sleep enough! waking up an hour early is no different than going to bed an hour later! I feel more productive when I do that, too! staying in bed to the last minute of the last snooze is important!), and so far I'm feeling pretty good about it. We'll see how it holds up.
Agatha All Along was a lot of fun. If all Marvel miniseries projects going forward are things that shouldn't have just been movies instead, I will be a happy camper (they won't be, though). Plans for tonight include last night's Dynamite (I am studiously avoiding Bluesky to keep away from Continental Classic spoilers), noodles, and a run, with maybe an episode of Lower Decks later on, as a treat.

Wikipedia Sez: Mama's Gun is the second studio album by American singer Erykah Badu. It was recorded between 1999 and 2000 at Electric Lady Studios in New York and released on November 21, 2000, by Motown Records. A neo soul album, Mama's Gun incorporates elements of funk, soul, and jazz styles. It has confessional lyrics by Badu, which cover themes of insecurity, personal relationships, and social issues. The album has been viewed by critics as a female companion to neo soul artist D'Angelo's second album Voodoo (2000), which features a similar musical style and direction. Critics have also noted that while Badu's first album Baduizm contained its share of cryptic lyricism, Mama's Gun is much more direct in its approach, and places the artist in a subjective position more than its predecessor.
Genre: R&B
Styles: Alternative R&B, Contemporary R&B, Neo-Soul, Adult Contemporary R&B
Release Date: November 21st, 2000
Prior Familiarity: Middling. Badu is one of those artists that I find both annoying and transcendent in about equal measure, with unpredictable irregularity. Or maybe she's the only one I feel that way about, that sounds extremely specific now that I say it!
What I Did While Listening: Put my laundry away and ordered pizza.
Verdict: It's quite good, but seems to be mostly made up of riffs on/reinterpretations of/predecessors to other Erykah Badu songs that I like way more?
Favourite Song: Cleva
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
