[386] weighted down with silent dead, I fear our blood won't rise again
A rainy day after yesterday's sunshine, but it's supposed to be good and hot for one last stretch very soon, so I was not resentful. Two more afternoons of basking before I need to find somewhere to stash my porch lounger for the long, dreary winter, I'll take it.
Amped up from last night's Dynamite, but I need to take the trash out before I'm allowed to hit the treadmill. Should also try to get a bath in somewhere before my period starts in a couple of days. Really milking my last little stretch of genuine free time before my aunts come down for the long weekend and I get bogged down in coordinating elderly women for visits. Should also try to remember how to play Monster of the Week at some point, but that's the fun kind of chore!

Wikipedia Sez: Let England Shake is the eighth studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician PJ Harvey, released on 14 February 2011 by Island Records. Production began around the time of White Chalk's release in 2007, though it is a departure from the piano-driven introspection of that album. Let England Shake was written over a 2+1⁄2-year period, and recorded in five weeks at a church in Dorset during April and May 2010.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Adult Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative Singer/Songwriter, Indie Rock, Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock
Release Date: February 14th, 2011
Prior Familiarity: None, and yet this is the third PJ Harvey album on this list?? Is she really that important and I just somehow missed her for my entire life, or is this a Chantal Akerman situation where her importance is being wildly inflated because everyone was like 'well, we need a woman to be on that level' and she's just the one in that vicinity that the most people thought of first? I genuinely do not know!
What I Did While Listening: Enjoyed the rain.
Verdict: Really dug it, actually, so I guess less of a Chantal Akerman situation after all, lol. Like forty minutes of beautiful diss tracks about how much the UK fucking sucks, hell yeah. Made me want to write Zombies, Run! fic.
Favourite Song: All and Everyone
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Have not been drinking enough water of late. Must needs remedy.
