[370] there are hands in my pockets pulling at my spine

Still sick. Had another BIG SLEEP, albeit a far less restful one, because of all the hacking. It is VERY smoky out today, and when I finally gave in and went outside for a spell because I can't just waste the summer warmth, it was like being in the movie version of Mexico, all yellow filtered and stifling. It felt like I was baking in a big toasty oven. :3 Didn't actually cough much while I was out there, either, weirdly? Hopefully my throat calms down by Saturday so I can go see Twisters.

Rotated my mattress and did a few loads of laundry. If I can get the garbage and recycling out, that will be enough for today, I think.

Dynamite 250 fucked. Wonder when AEW'll come to Canada again. My heart hopes it's soon, my bank account hopes they stay away for a while.

Wikipedia Sez: The Contino Sessions is the second album by the British electronic band Death in Vegas, released in 1999. As of July 2013 it was certified gold by British Phonographic Industry for 100,000 sold units in UK. In 2000 the album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

Genre: Electronic

Styles: Big Beat, Club/Dance, Electronica, Trip-Hop

Release Date: September 13th, 1999

Prior Familiarity: Not even a little!

What I Did While Listening: Snuffled and watched the sun set. Or watched the smoke turn different colours as it faded slowly to darkness, I guess, the sun itself was never really visible regardless.

Verdict: I liked it quite a bit, but every single song sounded identical, even the one that was originally written as a Rolling Stones song, somehow. A+ for consistency, Death in Vegas, C for maintaining interest.

Favourite Song: Dirge? Flying, maybe? Seriously, they all sounded the same, but definitely one of the tracks without lyrics, since the lyrics were all uniformly goofy.
