[358] look at the sun, sinking like a ship
It was so close to being an easy morning, but I just pushed it for one snooze too long, and my brain decided it was time for a last-minute REM cycle. At least it was in service of a really cool dream, so I can't be too mad about it. I shall save my anger for other things.
Hopefully a movie tonight? A quiet sort of place, maybe? I also want to see The Bikeriders, but that'll be a harder sell and also it gets out way later and I still work for one more morning before my Canada Day rest. We shall see!

Wikipedia Sez: Blood on the Tracks is the fifteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on January 20, 1975, by Columbia Records. The album marked Dylan's return to Columbia after a two-album stint with Asylum Records. Dylan began recording the album at an A & R studio in New York City in September 1974. In December, shortly before Columbia was due to release the album, Dylan abruptly re-recorded much of the material in Sound 80 studio in Minneapolis. The final album contains five tracks recorded in New York and five from Minneapolis. The album’s songs have been linked to tensions in Dylan's personal life, including his estrangement from his then-wife Sara. One of their children, Jakob Dylan, has described the songs as "my parents talking." In interviews, Dylan has denied that the songs on the album are autobiographical.
Genre: Pop/Rock, Folk
Styles: Singer/Songwriter, Album Rock
Release Date: January 20th, 1975
Prior Familiarity: Pretty good. This is the fifth Dylan album on this list, tying Neil Young for the 'alright, this is good shit but nevertheless feels a bit excessive, I get it already' record!
What I Did While Listening: Paid my property tax bill at the absolute last possible second, OOPS. Ordered a thirty dollar stress burrito in the aftermath. And then I watched an episode of Shogun and the last of the Georges Méliès films on the Criterion Channel (not for the first time, god he was so cool), but that's neither here nor there.
Verdict: Lovely stuff.
Favourite Song: Shelter from the Storm
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
