[351] I wanna make a million dollars, I wanna live out by the sea
Another very nice day, very similar to yesterday with one big pending asterisk. It was slightly hotter today and my skin is starting to feel... a bit tight in the aftermath of my sunny afternoon frolics. HAVE I BURNT???? Or will this all just settle into a nice tan overnight? Time will tell. Pray for my pasty ass. It was just so dang nice out there.
Movies tomorrow, finally. I'm going through popcorn withdrawal.
Just a walk tonight, I think.

Wikipedia Sez: Private Dancer is the fifth solo studio album by Tina Turner. It was released on May 29, 1984, through Capitol Records and was her first album released through the label. After several challenging years of going solo after divorcing Ike Turner, Private Dancer propelled Turner into becoming a viable solo star, as well as one of the most marketable crossover singers in the recording industry. It became a worldwide commercial success, earning multi-platinum certifications, and remains her best-selling album in North America to date.
Genre: R&B, Pop/Rock
Styles: Contemporary R&B, Contemporary Pop/Rock, Adult Contemporary R&B, Dance-Rock
Release Date: May 29th, 1984
Prior Familiarity: Decent! For some reason, I kinda thought it was a very one-song album going in before realizing no, wait, all the bangers are here, what the hell was I thinking.
What I Did While Listening: Recovered after a grueling run and an even more grueling bath. Still very much in the honeymoon phase with my new bathrobe.
Verdict: Liked it enough to listen to all two hours of the deluxe edition that I initially balked at when I saw it was all that Spotify had, which is pretty high praise. It includes the track where she sings about Thunderdome a bunch!!
Favourite Song: What's Love Got To Do With It is such a classic for a reason, and then Show Some Respect immediately blows it right out of the fucking water, man this shit rules.
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐, and again, it's close enough that I do think that could have been a 5 had the winds just been blowing in a slightly different direction.
The longest day. There's just something so comforting about being able to take the garbage out well after midnight and see light over by the horizon. I'm going to miss it.
