[315] we are all just prisoners here of our own device

Oh my god, I made it to the weekend. I'll still have two more days of training on the other side, but I really underestimated how much I rely on being able to just fuck around on the computer for hours on end as a part of maintaining my mental health while at work. And also my back health, for some reason? Something about how I was sitting really fucked me up yesterday.

But we're here! We made it! 24 blissful working hours where I won't have people all up in my space for the entire time! The sun was up shortly after eight o'clock and it should stick around until after five! This was the coldest morning in a while, and it still didn't even hit -20! I managed to fit a quick run in last night and the worst of my period is behind me! Life is good again!

Wikipedia Sez: Hotel California is the fifth studio album by American rock band Eagles. The album cover features a photograph of the Beverly Hills Hotel, taken by David Alexander.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Album Rock, Contemporary Pop/Rock, Country-Rock, Soft Rock

Release Date: December 8th, 1976

Prior Familiarity: Pretty good!

What I Did While Listening: Got a nice run in; for some reason my weird period hormones always give me super stamina even as they make me feel like bloated garbage?

Verdict: Pretty good! It never really went above that 'these are fine songs that I have heard a million times' baseline to get me to any higher level of appreciation that I was hoping for, but it's a good time! Just look at that cover! Look at those vibes!

Favourite Song: The Last Resort

Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and honestly, it's probably more of a ⭐⭐⭐, but there were a few real standout tracks that boosted it for me in the moment.
