[300] sun lights up the daytime, moon lights up the night

THREE HUNDRED ALBUMS!! We love a milestone review!! Thank you all for joining me on this journey.

Somebody brought a pile of Kit Kat bars to work for some reason and left them in the tower, so we're all having truly excellent breakfasts. I'm not even going to pretend that I'm not just counting the hours until I go home early for Worlds End!

Wikipedia Sez: Elvis Is Back! is the fourth studio album by American singer Elvis Presley, released on April 8, 1960 by RCA Victor. It was Presley's first album of new material since 1958's King Creole soundtrack, as well as his first to be recorded and released in stereophonic sound. The album marked Presley's return to music after his discharge from the U.S. Army.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Early Pop/Rock, Rock & Roll

Release Date: April 8th, 1960

Prior Familiarity: High. I just really like Elvis, y'all!

What I Did While Listening: Quick album, quick run. And then I downloaded Rampage so that I could stay up WAY TOO LATE getting pay-per-view ready for today!

Verdict: It's so good! At first blush, it doesn't FEEL like top shelf Elvis because there are none of the real big iconic hits on it, but it's so bluesy and soulful throughout, without ever getting repetitive? Just a real good album! IT'S ME, THE ELVIS ENJOYER.

Favourite Song: Not my favourite cover of Fever, but still a really nice one. Shout out to Dirty, Dirty Feeling for being DARK AS HELL.

Here's to the next 700+ of these bitches, I guess! Styles that I've added to my database since the last time I checked are: Big Band, Boogie Rock, Central African, Glitter, Jazz-House (my new favourite genre, apparently, GOD), Post-Disco, Soukous, Straight-Edge, and Swing. Nice assortment! I'm ordering Indian for lunch.
