[248] isn't life under the sun just a crazy dream?
Monday! Because I was strict with my morning-related boundaries, the extra shifts I picked up have left me feeling fine, but it does also feel like I've pretty much lost two of my precious days off to the sands of time and the gods of capitalism, so I definitely don't want to make a habit out of it. Maybe I will feel differently when my cheque comes in, though! Condo fees are going up next month, after all.

Wikipedia Sez: Bitte Orca is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Dirty Projectors, released on June 9, 2009, by Domino Recording Company. The word "bitte" is a German word for "please", and "orca" is another name for a killer whale. Frontman David Longstreth states that he liked the way the words sounded together. Longstreth notes that the music contained within the album "felt very [much] about colors, and their interaction," and that the music was written with the notion of the band, as a whole, in mind.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Indie Rock, Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, Experimental Rock
Release Date: June 9th, 2009
Prior Familiarity: I am reaching new levels of 'who????' here.
What I Did While Listening: I slept REAL hard and long after my experiment in working the weekend, so I just popped this on while I lolled around and geared up to enjoy my last two days off. And then my mom brought me surprise McDonalds because I forgot that it's a stat holiday so she's got the day off!
Verdict: I dug it! It never really answered any of my 'who? what? why???' questions, but it was an engaging listen that always kept me wondering what was coming next and made me curious to hear more of the group's stuff, even if whoever the male vocalist is, his voice at once grated on me while sounding exactly like 1000 other generic lead male singers I've heard.
Favourite Song: Two Doves. It's corny as hell, but so seemingly sincere about it?
Plans for today? None. I've got BTE to watch, and I've started on the Stardom Hokkaido tour from last month, and I want to get some Zombies, Run! in, but beyond that? I think I'll save the productivity for when night falls.
