Sunday funday! And by 'fun', I mean 'sitting here for twelve hours straight and maybe scanning a few things and maybe catching some Poliwags for part of it'. Woo!
A really bad night's sleep for some reason. I've been so good about going down at a similar time every night, too, so what is even the point of trying! Maybe I will just rewatch all of Forbidden Door tonight out of spite at my body!

Wikipedia Sez: Cheap Thrills is the second studio album by American rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company. It was their last album with Janis Joplin as lead singer before she started a solo career. For Cheap Thrills, the band and producer John Simon incorporated recordings of crowd noise to give the impression of a live album, for which it was subsequently mistaken by listeners. Only "Ball and Chain" was actually recorded in concert at Winterland Ballroom.

What I Did While Listening: Vomited about wrestling to nix and put away my laundry and took care of the animals and got ready for bed again so I could go to work again a few hours later okay just three more days, I can do this.
Verdict: I may hate the cover art, but the album proper is fine. The music doesn't do a TON for me, but Joplin's voice really carries it to another level, she is just tearing it UP here.
Favourite Song: Joplin's version of Piece of My Heart has never been my favourite, but it's still a song I am incapable of listening to less than five (5) times in a row every time I hear it, getting more into it every time until I collapse in exhaustion, so putting it on an album is really kinda just like punching in a cheat code for me. Favourite Song Easy Mode Unlocked.
The lovely hot summer weather is giving way to another stormy stretch. Looking forward to hunkering down for a week save for sojourns to the theatre that much more.
