[184] got my red glitter coffin, man, just need one last nail
Once again, the week has simply melted away, but I got a fair bit done this time around (never enough, though, it's never enough) and I'm feeling okay about it. One more day all to myself, and then it's back into the big, wide, noisy world for another seven. At least the weather's supposed to be nice.
Watched Skinamarink with my mother, since she's very keen on local productions that make it big like that, and when the opening credits mentioned the use of old public domain cartoons, I made an offhand comment about how I used to love watching a tape I had of those when I was a kid (before finding out that I would have been the same age as Kaylee when the movie takes place) and my mom laughed about how there was this one short that I was just terrified of and she thought I would be traumatized for life by it because of the way it would make me scream and scream and run crying to turn off the VCR, and naturally I remember it well (it's not actually particularly scary, it was at the end of a Christmas compilation, kids are just weird), and then HA HA HA GUESS WHERE THE AUDIO THAT LOOPS A BIT OVER THAT SHOT OF THE HALLWAY AT THE CLIMAX COMES FROM. What are the fucking odds.

Wikipedia Sez: Grace is the only studio album by American singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley, released on August 23, 1994, by Columbia Records. The album had poor sales and received mixed reviews at the time of its release. However, in recent years it has dramatically risen in critical reputation. An extended version of the album (subtitled "Legacy Edition"), celebrating its tenth anniversary, was released on August 23, 2004, and peaked at number 44 in the UK.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Adult Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, Alternative Singer/Songwriter, Contemporary Singer/Songwriter
Prior Familiarity: High. A perennial RP playlist favourite.
What I Did While Listening: Really tried to fully recapture those 'it's the turn of the millennium and I am an angsty preteen' vibes by playing some motherfucking TRIPLE TRIAD, HELL YEAH, BEST MINIGAME I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL.
Verdict: It's a classic for a reason. Well, multiple reasons, since Buckley dying young certainly didn't hurt its legacy of heartbreak.
Favourite Song: Lover, You Should've Come Over
