[166] stick your chest out, keep your head up, and handle it
Oooooooooof. Haven't been updating due to extreme exhaustion, first from work, then from cold, then from work and cold, then from traveling to Edmonton for more of mom's medical stuff and also cold, but I'm still here! And tomorrow is Christmas! Oh my god, I just need everything to stop for a little while!
We spent a whole day hovering around the Cross Cancer Centre, and the news from the scans and oncologist was not good, so a pretty shitty way to start the holidays, all told. It wasn't BAD news, it just wasn't good news when we had really, really been hoping for good news, so it still feels like a blow, you know? Surgery is still on schedule for next month, the day before my birthday. We've got to go back for the consult on the 3rd. I'm so tired, and also seem to be developing some sort of real nervous anxiety reaction towards the drive where I grow increasingly convinced that I'm going to die in a horrible accident on one of them?
I did get to see the new 'how many noble savage tropes am I still allowed to do if I make them aliens' movie from ol' Jimmy Cameron in the most ridiculous format possible with my brother while in Edmonton, which was fun at least!
I should really be wrapping presents or filling out cards or something ahead of tomorrow, I just... don't want to. Not yet. I just want to slowly tidy my room and watch 5*Star Grand Prix matches from September (Giulia and Mayu with the first time limit draw on day 13? daaaaang) until it's tomorrow so I can feel like I've improved SOMETHING in my life a bit.

Wikipedia Sez: Me Against the World is the third studio album by American rapper 2Pac. It was released on March 14, 1995, by Interscope and Jive Records. 2Pac draws lyrical inspiration from his impending prison sentence, troubles with the police, and poverty.
Genre: Rap
Styles: Bay Area Rap, G-Funk, Gangsta Rap, West Coast Rap
Prior Familiarity: Decent-ish? Not high, but not nothing.
What I Did While Listening: Popped in some earbuds and stole an hour for myself while in the back seat on the long drive to Edmonton.
Verdict: I have a real hard time with albums about how someone is probably gonna die young from someone who did, in fact, end up dying young, and this one's no exception, but it is quite good aside from that.
Favourite Song: Dear Mama
okay, rampage time, byeeeeee
