[161] by the foes I was told either focus or fold

I am tired and cold and bloated, but I have somehow kept my head down and pushed through enough to make it to the last day of the work week! I've done a lot of mindless scanning. Anything to make the hours tick on by. We had a couple of nice days over the weekend where the cold pulled back a bit, but they are OVER and it's -43 degrees and the sun doesn't even start coming up until I've been at work for an hour and uuuuuuuuuuugh.

WHATEVER, LAST DAY, THEN I CAN SLEEP AGAIN. And I will need sleep! God, December stresses me out at the best of times, and this year has decidedly not been the best of times. It is time to CLEAN HOUSE. But also freak out about Christmas as it relentlessly creeps up on me! What DO you get for the woman who has everything (cancer)?

Speaking of, mom's surgery is tentatively scheduled for January 12th, which is the day before my birthday, which is fun. Not sure if/when I should book the days off work? Or how many? Maybe just let my bosses know that it's a tentative thing? God, I can't afford this.

One of the porters wears snow pants to work, and I'm certainly not going to begrudge her in this weather, but I can hear her zip-zopping around the hallways from a mile away all goddamn day and it's driving me a little bit crazy?

And then I never actually finished this update and it's Wednesday now and I'm much happier!!! :D Have an album!

Wikipedia Sez: Be is the sixth studio album by American rapper Common. It was released on May 24, 2005, by Geffen Records and GOOD Music. The album is Common's second album to sell over 500,000 copies (over 800,000 copies sold), becoming a certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Genre: Rap

Styles: Alternative Rap, Midwest Rap, Jazz-Rap

Prior Familiarity: He's really good in Hell on Wheels?

What I Did While Listening: Opened up some packages that I let pile up during my work week. One of them was a fun card set that required me to put together some cute little boxes and it made me nostalgic for my comic book collecting days.

Verdict: I was pretty burned out on current rap by the time I was in high school, and it's probably because I wasn't listening to shit like this! It's real good! Fuck Kanye, though, for real.
