Passed a neighbour while going to get the mail in the afternoon two days ago. He said hi, so did I! Saw him again on my way home from work yesterday, he asked how I doing, I said fine. Weird coincidence! This morning, he apparently waited for me to pass by his house in the morning then followed me on bicycle to ask me out on my way to work. Dude is a stranger probably close to twice my age. Just. Why. I told him I was seeing someone, because it was easier. Being a woman in public is randomly exhausting sometimes?
Another hot, hazy, smoky day. I do wish I could bring some of this excessive air conditioning to the poor saps stuck in the drive-thru, it's like a sauna in there and I'm freezing. Whatever, I have a giant stack of paperwork to get through (on top of my usual insurmountable amount), and I have arranged it into a little clock to pick at throughout the day so that when I finish, it will be time to go home and hopefully make the day magically fly by! We'll see how that goes, I guess.

OUCH, MY HEART. Kenny, man. Kenny. Back to treating the Bucks like absolute dogshit, which is something that's been continually on my mind as they keep on coming out to have his back at every turn while he never does the same for them, but this was above and beyond, man. And it's nothing new from him (other than the gloss of having them back in his pocket has clearly worn right off), but maaaaaaaan, Nick's not gonna put up with this for much longer, something's gotta give. His snide little "love you too, Kenny" asides while Matt just stands there like a kicked puppy and takes it; Nick was ALWAYS in this heel turn for Matt's sake and Matt's sake alone, he was NEVER on board with what Kenny's been up to, but when push came to superkick and Nick saw that Matt wouldn't be able to take Kenny down like they needed to (not after what happened to him at Revolution 2020 (AND in Bucks vs. Golden Lovers before that NONE OF THEIR PROBLEMS EVER GET FIXED JUST MESSILY PATCHED OVER)), he chose to back his brother's play, however much it chafed. And maybe he's had some fun with facial hair and piercings and dressing like a douchebag since then, but it is clearly starting to chafe a bit too much. The Elite are heading for an implosion.
HEY, PERFECT TIME FOR A TEN-MAN WITH THE GOOD BROTHERS AGAINST HANGMAN AND DARK ORDER, RIGHT??? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. So much is coming to a head, here, I can't handle it. That whole segment last night was horrible and amazing, every part of it hurt and was beautiful, my god.
This was like a five minute segment! What the fuck! I'm gonna die when this all actually starts going down! Fucking wild to realize that this match is probably going to come almost a year to the day after The Elite & FTR vs. Dark Order. Hangman, Kenny, the Bucks, and the guys who would then go on to help turn Hangman against his friends against the evil cultists that would one day take him in after losing one of their own and having to become something better. OH, HOW THE TURNS HAVE TABLED. I need them to announce when this is going to happen so I can prepare myself.

- Hangman admitting that he's been running from Kenny for too long and the way he NEVER backs down at any point in spite of it, he is clearly terrified but he is also fucking DONE. He wants the title! He's always wanted the title! He has friends who believe in him like he couldn't for so long after losing to Jericho, and he's ready to say it again!
- Kenny throwing Hangman's fear of failure in his face while also somehow talking about nobody but himself, just a black hole of insecurities lashing out wherever he can, topped with a manbun.
- Matt and Hangman. Fuck. FUCK! The way Matt takes all of his roiling resentments over the situation with Kenny that he's just been swallowing down and turns them around on the next best target, basically telling Hangman all the same things that Kenny told him after they DARED to tag with Brandon instead of him, like Hangman's "abandonment" of the Elite wasn't a painfully mutual separation marked by stubbornness on both sides. The way he tells Hangman to hit him in much the same way he told Kenny to hit him way back in Bucks vs. Golden Lovers. The way Matt is the only person in months and months to actually call Hangman out on his drinking instead of treating it like a fun little party quirk (Dark Order are good friends, but they very much take people as they are), even if he does it in the nastiest way possible. Just rip my damn heart out, huh!
- The way the Super Elite roll up on Hangman with the clear intent to intimidate only for Dark Order to practically teleport in out of nowhere the INSTANT things get physical, and even more significantly, Hangman's "the Dark Order doesn't back down" line, the closest he's ever come to acknowledging that he's a part of the group he could never bring himself to formally join after the way being part of the Elite hurt him.
- Kenny oh-so-casually throwing the Bucks under the bus by offering up a title shot for their belts, too, with no input from them whatsoever. They're just props to him, supporting players in his story instead of stars of their own, and I NEED for this to come back and bite him in the end.
- The way the Good Brothers have been playing over-the-top 'Good Christian Boys' personas over on Impact for weeks now and how it really feels like they've been mocking the Bucks behind their backs, since it's completely absent whenever they appear on AEW. I'm not gonna get into doppelgangers again, but I am REALLY curious to see what the dynamic between those four is gonna be in a fight.
