[19] Cruel and inhuman treatment
So I did a State of the Pups for Darrow! This is me trying to fix things. Help?
As I'm sure people have noticed, I've been extremely crap with RP for the last while now. I keep trying to get back into the swing of things, but I inevitably fizzle after about five minutes and disappear for weeks on end again. I think part of my problem is that I really, really, really hate dropping threads, so I'll keep ones that I haven't tagged in ages around in the hopes of tagging them back as I start new stuff and I'll feel bad about still being so bogged down, so I just shut down all over again and the cycle repeats when I finally man up again. And again and again and again, I can only imagine how sick people must be of me saying I'm going to start back again, because I know I fucking am.
So, here's the deal. As much as it PHYSICALLY PAINS ME, because this is all stuff I started and then immediately never tagged back, stuff people put up for me, even EPs I never tagged back, I will be dropping absolutely everything from before May. All of it. An actual fresh start for once, I hate it I hate it I hate doing it but... I think it's what I need. Since what I've been doing until now CLEARLY is not working. Why anyone should be willing to give me any more chances, I have no clue, but I'm here, I'm gonna put down where my characters are at, I'm gonna start making actual plans again, and if you are somehow still willing to entertain me... thank you. So damn much.
SEAN CASSIDY
Hoo fucking boy. The love of his life is gone and he's... he's going to be going to the bad place for a while. If I want to be true to canon, he's probably gonna have to get himself shot. Which fits unfortunately well with the stuff he was getting himself into for a while before he remembered he had a wife and started backing off from it. Acting stupid, doing crime (all in the name of fucking up bad guys, he promises), this is not going to go well! He's not so good with handling the feelings, okay. And also Mystique and the Black Widow are both on reserve, which is like this magical double whammy, AU versions of redheads with a history of completely fucking his shit up that he will never trust ever, different canons be damned. Also, don't think that just because I was MIA he didn't notice that one woman he knew turned into a giant monster and died and another woman he met also got stabbed to death. AND he's getting into shit with Katherine annnnnnnd women are just basically the worst for him right now, he hates everything.
Powers plot: I was thinking about it, but with recent developments, it'd probably be overkill, he is sensitive to his powers getting screwed with and he's already going to be a total mess for a long time, so. Probably not.
Other: Losing Meredith is about as big a push to finally change his username as I'm going to get, I've been thinking about it for a while now, and he's pretty plainly entering a massive new stage in his life, so. Now I just gotta figure out what I want to change it to.
REGGIE MANTLE
Precious idiot, just doing his thing. Still need to find some serious drama to get him into. Item post soonish, catching him up on all the horrible stuff that's gone down in canon up to somewhere around his dad's heart attack, I think. Maybe leave out all the shooting stuff, just because I'm pretty sure I'm going to canon update him once Life With Archie ends in July and it's all tied into that, anyway. Might as well let the death of one of his best friends come COMPLETELY out of the blue, right? Ha ha... ha.
Powers plot: I DEFINITELY WANT HIM TO GET SOMETHING, but I am indecisive as fuuuuuuuck. Fielding suggestions, help me out here.
DEMARR DAVIS
I kinda still can't believe I apped a goddamn Great Lakes Avenger. NO REGRETS. Hanging around, pretending to be a halfway competent superhero, having fun with his CO-AVENGERS, EDEN, LAFAYETTE, SCOTT, AND NEWEST RECRUIT JENNIFER (he can be kind of an embarrassing friend to have sometimes, I am sorry), feeling thoroughly out of his league with his other friends that are all about fighting demons and shit even though he knows he should probably work on learning about that stuff as a part of his job... He's just ridiculous and a lot of fun, idk. More threads! More friends! Both in costume and out!
Powers plot: Aaaaaah, gotta pick something for him to get! Something related to demons and whatnot would line up with the above mentioned thing, but I've got pretty much no canon knowledge of most of the abilities offered up in that vein. Hrm. THINKING, THINKING.
TRACY BOND
Man, I'm falling down hard with her, but she'll be getting an item post very shortly that'll make her feel a little less aimless, give her an outlet for all these nebulous things she's feeling that I think will make it much easier to tag her around. She fuckin' died on her wedding day, that doesn't really make a person very sociable. XD I adore playing her, and while I think she might be a tough one to click with at times, give me chances? :D
Powers plot: Probably not, unless anyone's got some good ideas.
THE FUTURE
Obviously, I've got to make sure I'm firmly back on the wagon before I go about bringing in anybody new, but if things work out for me, come the summer, I'll be bringing in everyone's favourite gamma-powered scientist! Okay, everyone's second favourite gamma-powered scientist. No, not that one, the other one. No, the Canadian one. There you go, yes, him, only she's a her, I'm transferring Wanda Langkowski from TR, boop boop.
In the much more immediate future, I'mma go tag back my few threads that were started in May (which... are also way old, standard disclaimers apply, no hard feelings if it's too old to tag back) and do some spring cleaning on my accounts.
